Been extremely busy lately. But work is work.
I would like to thank the folks at T-Shirts That Suck for their continued support. Thank You! If you got some time, take a peek at the hilarious shirts.
New contest is up. It's kinda lame, but very simple. Winners of the past contest have been emailed.
For those having problems ordering Mixed Up from CDNOW, The CD is now is stock and shipping.
As I've stated, I've been extremely busy. I have a few side projects going on which has been keeping me busy.
The digital camera is dead; it left in the trash Wednesday. Hopefully within the next week I can order a new one and get the contest previews up. The kind people at CompUSA have blessed me with a store charge card. So, who knows, maybe I will snag a camera today. Sony Cybershot cameras are looking SWEET!
Here are some Lords of Acid Pictures from the Marktrock in Belgium.
Series 14 and Series 15 are now up on Miss 9's Site.
Seems that FuckVerizonWireless.com has made it into the search engines, which would explain over 14,000 unique visitors in 4 days.

I think next time I do this, I will limit it to the main album releases. This does not say some albums suck and some don't. The downside of this type of contest is that not everyone has every album. Though this will be true in a majority of the contests I would still like to point out the amount of people who particiated to make this happen, you the fans.
New contest is up!. This contest is for your favorite Praga Khan album, NOT single. It was discussed with various people that it's best to just do the main albums and skip the singles (since it would get too confusing). If you enter the contest, it's important to enter a working e-mail address. If I cannot get ahold of you within 2 weeks, I pick another person from that contest and give them the prize (assuming they answer). Winners have been emailed.
Good News! I've borrowed a digital camera. So I will update the Contest Previews within the next week or 2.
Penthouses are all SOLD OUT.

Mixed Up is out now. Enjoy!
I also see that CDNOW has the Mutant Funk Limited Edition in stock! Look under the Imports section.
Server should appear faster.
The switch it was plugged into for some reason made networking connection slow.
Moved to a new switch and now have a 36x speed increase (900K/sec compared to 25K/sec).
Sorry for lack of updates, had some hospital time which took me down for the count for awhile.
The miracles of medicine. While I've been resting I compiled a graph which contains the data from the start of Ven's News to August 13th (Last Night). WARNING: This graphic is 18K (small) BUT is 3000 pixels wide by 300 pixels tall.
I hope last nights Lords of Acid show at Marktrock was killer. No reports on it yet, or on the EuroRock show.
Contest for the past 2 weeks will be over tomorrow night. New contest will be posted shortly after. Want to do the Favorite Praga Khan album, the singles really make it difficult (like 20 different singles of 'Injected with a Poison' etc..). I am debating on limiting this to Praga Khan album releases (Not singles). I have 2 days to figure this out, any suggestions email me at Ven @ VensNews.com (Plain Text only). Please note I have over a week and a half worth of mail to catch up on.
There are 3 copies of Penthouse left. PayPal and Credit Card only accepted, NO Money Orders. I am not getting anymore in, sorry.
For people with Verizon Wireless cellular service... BE CAREFUL! Read More.
Will have another news update on the 15th or 16th.

10 copies of Penthouse are left. If interested Check Here,
I will throw in some new Praga Khan 'Mixed Up' postcards as well as the other goodies. PayPal is the preferred payment method.
The revamped Contest is going MUCH MUCH MUCH better. I've now completely automated the vote tallying so it only takes a few minutes to generate the results. I've gotten nothing but positive feedback about the contests. I hope I can keep them going for at least 3 more months. Digital camera died so, I'm working on a solution for this problem.
Some news from Music Imports.
I've been told they are checking out new suppliers.
Hopefully these new suppliers will carry more Lords of Acid and Praga Khan imports.
We can hope, cause man the customer service ROCKS!
But I was also told this could take about 6 weeks before the change occurs.

There were 1789 votes for Lords of Acid albums and 57 votes for Praga Khan albums.
For the first two weeks, the contest is for your favorite Lords of Acid album.
The next contest will be for your favorite Praga Khan album.
Following those, we'll continue with your Favorite Lords of Acid song/cover and then your favorite Praga Khan song/cover.
Results will be posted daily (I hope).
Those who entered a vote for a Praga Khan album, your name is still in the contest, and your vote will be forwarded to the next contest.

Contest winners from the last contest have been emailed. New Contest is up.
I'm trying to make the contests more open to everyone.
I realized the first contest required the individual to have a digital camera or a photo of themselves (scanned).
So I'm gearing the contests so that everyone can enter.
I hope the information from this contest can be made into some kind of stats.
I did not put a selection box in this contest cause there are too many releases to list between the groups.
I would of limited it to certain albums, but felt this would defeat the purpose. Check it out.
14 more days till Mixed up comes out. I'm still addicted to 'The Jean Genie' . I just went to CDNOW and Mixed Up is now $13.49, but was told...
'Congratulations! You've just received a coupon for $5.00 off your purchase! Your $5.00 discount will be applied when you spend $19.99 or more.' Not a bad deal if you can grab a single or something.
Thanks goes out to Ken Olsen for a nice link to some pics of Roos Van Acker (3 photos).
Alert: People ordering Praga Khan's 'Mutant Freak' from Music Imports should be aware this is 'Mutant Funk' just spelled incorrectly (very incorrectly).
